Using the Link installation network

The Link network uses IP addresses in the range of 10.1.X.X (CIDR notation: 10.1.0.0/16). The Link itself has the fixed IP address 10.1.0.1. For installation components with a configurable (static) IP address, make sure they are configured with a unique IP address in this range (starting with 10.1.) and subnet mask 255.255.0.0. Installation components that use dynamic IP address assignment (using DHCP) can be added without setting an IP address.

Some installation components keep a whitelist of devices they are allowed to communicate with. If the Link needs to be added to the whitelist, use its IP address: 10.1.0.1.
