Chapter 7 · Wired connection to installation components

Installation network cabling

To establish a connection with installation components:

  1. Check which Ethernet ports are available on the Link for the chosen configuration, see Network settings.

  2. Add a switch if needed. If the number of available Ethernet ports on the Link is insufficient, make sure to attach a network switch to one of the active ports.

  3. Use a CAT-6 shielded Ethernet cable per installation component. Ensure the cable length does not exceed 10 meters.

  4. Connect the cable between the installation component and an available Ethernet port on the Link (or the network switch).
