Formula builder
Select Formulas on the side menu. You use this section to aggregate different datapoints with each other, or to do computations. You can use this to create new KPIs for the installation.

Set the name of the new datapoint that you are creating.
-
Select the variables based on which you are going to calculate this new datapoint. Click + Add Variable for each one. There are three types:
Type What it is Datapoint A datapoint in this installation. Weather API A weather datapoint, based on the location of this installation: temperature, wind speed and direction, irradiance, soil moisture or pressure. Constant A constant value that you define. Define the aggregation in the formula builder. There are two ways: with the Visual Builder, or with the Advanced JSON.
You can describe the aggregation verbatim and have an LLM generate the JSON.
-
Test the result. In the Live Evaluation Preview, enter test values for the variables and check the calculated result.

The calculated datapoints
All created datapoints appear under Calculated Datapoints. They are recorded in the database as a regular datapoint, and can therefore be used anywhere as such. The created datapoints are backfilled to 30 days by default.

Bulk import
For operations that span a large number of datapoints, you can do a bulk import. Under Bulk Operations, download one of the pre-defined templates for operations (offset, scaled sum, average, sum, weighted average, weighted sum, less than, greater than, or combined), fill it in and import it.
