Our flagship product, the LINK, is a plug-and-play platform for the remote management, control, and optimization of energy installations. It empowers installers to perform better and more efficient maintenance, while enabling building owners to enhance indoor comfort, reduce CO2 emissions, and address local grid congestion.
As a Model Predictive Control (MPC) Engineer, you will join our innovation team to develop MPC-based algorithms for optimizing HVAC systems.
- Full-time position as an MPC Engineer starting in Q2 of 2025
- English as a working language (Dutch is a plus)
- Location: TU/e Campus (Option to work hybrid)
- Model the physical behavior of energy systems
- Define optimization problems tailored to user requirements
- Develop features that enable seamless, plug-and-play setup and configuration of (MPC-based) optimization algorithms
- Work closely with the product team to refine and enhance the (MPC) optimization algorithms, ensuring they meet user needs and drive real-world results.
- Strong foundation in physical modelling, especially regarding thermal processes and energy systems.
- Excellent with mathematics, e.g., linear algebra, statistics, quadratic programming, and state-space modeling. You will spend a lot of time working on optimization problems.
- Experience with modeling software such as MATLAB (or equivalent tools).
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Based in the Netherlands
- Prior experience in developing and implementing MPC
- Familiarity with a variety of different optimization techniques & machine learning
- Experience with disturbance modeling
