Energy Link - OPZuid EFRO

The southern Netherlands is grappling with severe grid congestion: businesses are unable to become more sustainable or expand due to a lack of power capacity. Energy Link is developing a smart, scalable solution that enables buildings to flexibly manage their energy consumption using AI and Model Predictive Control (MPC). The goal is to reduce peak loads and free up capacity on the grid. The technology is being tested in ten buildings and further developed into Smart Energy Hubs: clusters of buildings that collectively optimize energy consumption. Partners Integer Technologies, TU/e, DWA, Avans, CSB, and BRAVO!College are collaborating on technology, legal frameworks, and training programs for installers (including NIS 2). In this way, Energy Link is making an innovative contribution to a resilient energy system.
